All A's

Take a look at our third and fourth grade all A students. These students are working hard in class and their grades reflect how hard they are working. Keep up the good work. Not pictured is Elise, but she did make all A's.

Happy Meals

163 students made their sight word goals for the month of October. We are so proud of the hard workers and the effort they are taking to be better readers and students!

The Life and Death of a Pumpkin

Mrs. Williams class learned all about the life cycles of pumpkins. They also worked with some of Mrs. Shelton's third graders to do a S.T.E.M. (Science, technology, engineering, and math) activity involving a pumpkin roll. Students used 2x4's, yard sticks, yarn, iPads and unifix cubes to build, test and measure how far their pumpkins would roll.

Ms. Layson's Crew Working Hard and Playing Hard

Ms. Layson's students have been studing about Autumn and leaves. Here are some pictures of their work and their Halloween Party.

Life Cylces in Third Grade

The third graders recently learned about life cycles in science and completed projects to demonstrate their learning. They were judged based on accuracy of facts and creativity. Ms. Ruth's class had a three way tie! Winners included Davian Jennings and Kourtlon Harris with their cicadas, JaKaisa Leavell and Sabrina Smith with their penguins, and last but not least Christian Miller and Caden Glenn and their chickens. Congratulations on your success!

Life Cycle Competition

Ms. Coomes' kids competed in a competition where they had to create models of a plant or animals life cycle. They learned that all life cycles look very different, but they have 4 things in common- Birth, Growth, Reproduction, and Death.
The winners of the competition were Aidan Pollard and Zach Fraim who worked on the life cycle of a lady bug! Everyone did an awesome job with these models and presented their information in very creative ways! Way to go guys!

Monster Mash

Ms. Manqueros and her students held the monsters at bay with this delectable treat. If your child is in her class ask them about this awesome food mix that they can help you make at home.
