Measuring Up
In Math, we are focusing on words "shorter" and "taller". Today, the students traveled the room with their writing partner and measured items with a piece of yarn. A fun family activity you could do together would be to eat popsicles together and use the popsicle sticks to find items around the house that are shorter or taller than the popsicle stick.
Last week, we had a lot of fun with our Math and Science pumpkin book! The students weighed, measured, and floated their pumpkins. We ended our week by painting pumpkins and having an hour of fun with the entire preschool and kindergarten classes on Friday. The kids had a ball!
Remember to work on your family turkey project that was put in your child's folder this week. It is due on Monday. I can't wait to see your family's creativity!
