The
kids learned about the layers of rock in the cave and the sandstone and
limestone rock that makes up this cave. They leaned about this landform
and how it actually used to be underwater!
The kids also learned how weathering and erosion created this "mammoth" size cave! The
cave wasn't named because mammoths used to live in these caves, it was
named for it's enormous size! The kids loved exploring and becoming
geologists for a day!
