Ms. Vincent's class is full of future engineers! This past week in science, students built a bridge out of only two sheets of paper! Yes - only paper! No glue or tape allowed! Our top bridge held 146 pennies! We also learned about two different types of bridges: arch and suspension bridges. Students worked in groups to create human bridges! Through this, we learned that in order to make a strong bridge, you have to have support! We've also enjoyed reading several stories about important bridges, such as The Golden Gate Bridge and The Mackinac Bridge (in Michigan)! One day you might be driving over a bridge designed by our very own Estes Engineers!
