We had a great week celebrating reading and Dr. Seuss! College students from Western came in to read to us and even brought props to share with their stories! We also paired with Mrs. William's class to buddy read out on the front porch.
On Friday, we made green eggs and ham and experimented with oobleck to see if it was a solid or liquid.
Next week, we will be working with money to understand coins and their value. Don't be surprised if your child comes home with grocery items - we are setting up a grocery store for them to shop in with their money.
I will be sending home new sight words for 4th quarter this next week. Here is a great website if you want to make it more fun for your child: http://www.themeasuredmom.com/10-simple-sight-word-activities/
These are easy ideas to quickly create at home.
Check out the new tab under the photo gallery called "Read Across America". I've uploaded tons of pictures from this week. Enjoy!
