Happy Early Valentine's Day! This is one of my favorite times of the year! We are learning how to do extra special things for our friends and becoming more of a family in our classroom, as well as using our words to encourage others! I'm so excited about our upcoming "Publishing Party" on Monday, February 15th, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Your child is an author and I can't wait for you to see the books they have written! We will have ice cream in the cafeteria after they share their books in our classroom. Check in at the lobby and come to our classroom for a great night!
You can view our "How To" writing pictures under the tab entitled "Writing", as well as what we have been learning in Math under the "Math" tab in the photo gallery. We also graphed our groundhog made out of 2D shapes.
Finally, I wanted to let you know of something that we have incorporated in the classroom to help with sight words. Your child has been using a text to speech app on the iPad. They type a sight word in and the app says the word back to your child. If you have a Smartphone, type in text to speech app and you will find two apps that will help your child. Don't forget to send in your child's valentine's day cards by Thursday of this week. Our party will be Friday, February 12th at 2pm.
