I am happy to announce that we are going to continue rewarding our sight word readers with Happy Meals again this year. Due to rising expenses and low funds we are going to have to give away the Happy Meals every 6 weeks instead of every month. Our first Happy Meals will be given at the end of September. Please make sure to help your children with reading their sight words every night.
If your student is struggling with his or her sight words, I have some ideas for you.
1st -you can play memory match with the words. Write each sight word twice on a piece of paper and cut them out. Place 10 words face down and play memory match with your child. Make sure to say the words each time they flip the cards over.
2nd- you can play connect 4 with your child. Before your child can place a chip on the board they have to name a sight word.
Thank you parents for all the work you do at home with your children. We cannot do our jobs without all the help you give your children at home.
