Movie Night

I would like to thank the Estes Parent Council for hosting the movie night. We had around 15 teachers volunteer their time that evening even though they weren't required to stay. For most of them they worked over 12 hours that day and didn't complain one bit because they wanted to provide a fun night for your children.
This is only our second year of providing this free service to our parents and we are still working out the kinks in the logistics. This year we tried to offer the free service to more students and parents and we underestimated how hard it was going to be checking in all of the students.
I will be honest in saying that we could have done without some of the parents cussing while describing the amount of time they had to wait. Did you know the county school a mile down the road hosted a trick or treat night and charged each family member $10 or a maximum of $30 for members consisting of more than 3 members. The families were also expected to supply the candy for the trick or treating. I mention this because our movie night was completely free and included a drink and a bag of popcorn.
If you have any ideas on how we can improve this night please come by the next parent council meeting. The meetings are always open to every parent that has a child in our school. To make our school the best school for our students and your children we need to work together and not against each other.
